NHS England Commissioners consultation on items that should not be routinely prescribed in primary care

NHS England and NHS Clinical Commissioners are consulting on a range of items that should not be routinely prescribed in primary care. The list includes some items often used in palliative care including fast acting fentanyls and lidocaine plasters. Organisations are invited to respond using the on-line form available in the consultation. It would be advisable for palliative care pharmacy teams to engage with CCGs in local processes. The ASPCP is engaging both nationally in the consultation and through the Ambitions Partnership. If you would like to post a comment you can do so here or through one of the committee members.
